Note: Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan vide its instructions dated 23 February, 2010 has issued latest guidance for visa seekers. The applicants are requested to provide the following information for processing of their visa cases.

Provide the details of purpose of visit.
Duration of visit.
Sponsor name in Pakistan.
Sponsor's complete residential address (Contact details).
Places of visit.

Fee and processing time:

Applications received by mail are processed in 5 business days and applications submitted in person are processed the same day and delivered between 4.00 p.m to 5.00 p.m.

VISA Cases of applicants of Pakistani Origin (with valid proof) are processed:

In five business days if received through mail.
Processed same day if received in person at consular window.

And the pick up time is between 4:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M.

Processing time for all other nationalities is dependant on nature of their cases.

Please contact the Consulate to ascertain visa fee for other nationalities.

N.B Consular Officer can demand any additional documentary evidence pertaining to the application. The Consulate General reserve the right to refuse visa without assigning any reason.

Requirements:

Complete Visa Form (Click here for the visa form).
Submit original passport
2 current passport size photographs front view and white background.
Proof of residence.

Fee in the shape of money order or cashier’s cheque payable to the Consulate General of Pakistan can also be paid through Credit Card at the Consulate (except American Express card). Merchant charges applicable. Cash or personal cheques are not acceptable. Consular fees are non refundable.

Prepaid self-addressed return envelope for applications sent by courier mail. US Postal Service with tracking number is preferable.

Note:

5 year multiple entry visas will be issued to the US citizens of Pakistan origin (subject to expiry date of Passport) on production of copy of previous (even if expired) Pakistani passport or CNIC/NICOP. For children of dual national US citizens born in the US, please attach copy of father’s or mother's Pakistani passport or ID card with application of each child and copy of birth certificate to establish Pakistan origin.
Business visa applicants need to provide a letter of invitation from the sponsoring company in Pakistan and letter from the Company he belongs to in the US. He may be asked to fill in the business Performa providing visit related information.

Following are the requirements for Business Visa:
- Visa application Form duly filled in.
- Original Passport (should be valid for at least six months)
- Two passport size current photographs with white background
- An Invitation letter from the host Company/Individual in Pakistan on official Letterhead.
- A Letter from the Employer/Company on its Letterhead whom the applicant represents/works, with explaining the purpose of visit and verifying antecedents of applicant.
- A copy of Green/Resident Card (for non-USA Passport Holders)
- Business Visa Fee $ 180 (Bank draft, Cashier Check or Money order)
- Additional Business form duly filled in (copy attached)
- Return prepaid Envelop (if sent by mail).
- Complete contact details of applicant (Residential/Business address, Phone, Fax, E-mail).
Indian Passport holders are required to fill Visa application form for Indian Nationals (3 sets of applications along with money order or cashier’s check of US$ 5/- and five photographs are required).
In case of a foreign spouse of a Pakistani national holding maiden name, to verify the marriage, original/attested marriage certificate will be required along with copy of Pakistani passport.
In case visa application is sent by mail, please mention “Visa Application” on the right corner of the envelope..
Issuance of visa is subject to fulfilling all requirements and satisfaction of the Consular Officer.
Incomplete application may be returned without refunding fee. All fees are non-refundable*.

*Once fee deposited will not be refunded whether desired Consular services are rendered or otherwise
