Renewal of Expired Passport

Fee and processing time:

Requirements:

• Complete Form-A
• Submit original expired passport
• 4 current passport size photographs with front view and white background.
• Original National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) or Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) card and its photocopy (regardless of age). In case of non-possession of NICOP/CNIC, please submit NICOP application with the passport application. (More information on NICOP)
• Fee in the shape of money order or cashier’s cheques payable to the Consulate General of Pakistan. No cash or personal cheques are acceptable. Fees are non refundable.
• Proof of residence in US (copy of green card/visa/work authorization/driving license)
• Women intending to change their names due to marriage or divorce need to submit copy of their nikah nama/marriage certificate or divorce papers with the passport application.
• Prepaid self addressed return envelope for application sent by mail (US Postal Service with tracking number is preferable).

Note: Manual passport with (restricted) one-year validity will be issued only together with NICOP application. The applicant must submit NICOP application with the passport application. The passport will be extended to full five years validity on receipt of NICOP without any further charge.
