Dr. Muhammad Khalid Ejaz holds a Master degree in International Public Policy from School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University, Washington D.C.

He was a Lecturer/Demonstrator at Nishtar Medical College, Multan before joining the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1998. He served in the various Divisions of the Ministry including Afghanistan, ECO, South Asia and Personnel. He remained posted as Second Secretary at the Embassy of Pakistan, Kuwait from August 2002 to December 2005.

He received trainings from Civil Services Academy, Lahore(1998), Foreign Services Academy, Islamabad(1999), Japanese Language Training Institute, Kansai, Japan (2000), Human Soft, Kuwait (April-May 2005), Centre for European Studies, Strasbourg, France,(June,2006) Singapore Mediation Centre, Singapore(Jan. 2007),National Institute of Management ,School of Public Policy, Pakistan (Oct-Dec 2008).

He was a visiting faculty member of the Faculty of Contemporary Studies (FCS), National Defence University, Islamabad (2008-09) and Bahria University, Islamabad (Jan-June 2009).

He joined the Consulate General of Pakistan, Los Angeles in October, 2009. He is married with three children.
