NICOP is an official identification document for Pakistani Citizens working / living abroad. NICOP can be produced for personal identification in place of Computerized NIC (CNIC) within Pakistan and abroad. The card is supposed to be produced at domestic or international entry or exit terminals. National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) ordinance envisages issuance of NICOP to Pakistani workers, immigrants, citizens, or Pakistanis holding dual nationality, having been registered under the NADRA Ordinance.

CNIC cannot be renewed from NADRA offices abroad. If your CNIC has expired, apply for a new NICOP. NICOP is the substitute for CNIC. (click here, for new/first time NICOP requirements).
Pakistani nationals holding dual nationality are eligible to apply for National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP). It replaces the CNIC/NIC and is valid for 07 years.
Pakistani nationals willing to surrender their nationality are eligible to apply for POC Card.
Please Note, All senior citizens (65 years and above) will be entitled a lifetime NICOP card without expiry date. Senior citizens above 65 years of age who possess CNIC should apply for NICOP.
All NICOP applications are processed and finalized at NADRA Head Quarters, Islamabad.
NICOP - NATIONAL IDENTITY CARD FOR OVERSEAS PAKISTANIS
NICOP is now a mandatory requirement for all Pakistanis living in U.S for more than six months. This card is obligatory for all members of the family, including children who are under the age of 18 years.
Payment form: Fees are paid in the form of Money Order or Cashier's Cheque payable to the Consulate General of Pakistan. Fees paid are non-refundable.
Proof of Pakistani Nationality:
NICOP Card will be issued only to the applicants who can prove their relationship with a Pakistani i.e. having a birth certificate, applicant’s/parent’s valid/expired Pakistani Passport, CNIC card copies.
