BALOCHISTAN EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND BY CONSULATE

 Donate for Earthquake Victims

The devastation caused by earthquake on 29 October 2008, in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman and Pishin Districts in Balochistan has resulted in loss of precious lives upto 300 people, causing serious injuries to around 1000 and rendering about 70,000 people homeless. 

The Government of Pakistan has taken all possible measures to alleviate the sufferings of the victims in remote areas hit by this calamity.  With the severe winter season of below freezing point temperatures and after shocks of the earthquake still continuing, the people in affected areas are in dire need of help in shape of medical supplies, winterized  tents, blankets and financial assistance to re-construct their homes and lives. 

The generous Pakistani-American community like on previous occasions has shown keen interest to help the earthquake victims.
